Baldissero

Italien Treiso - Piedmont

BaldisseroFrom the 1950s to today, the grapes produced in the almost 7 hectares of the Baldissero farm, entirely managed by the family, have been given to successful producers who have made important wines from them.
Today Marco, the founder's grandson, after studying oenology in Alba and working as an oenologist at other companies, from the 2016 harvest decided to keep the best grapes of his vineyards for himself and start producing wines with his own label.

Baldissero

In the Langhe it has always been used to give names to individual vineyards, to identify them in the common spoken language. Each with its characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. Exposure, soil, microclimate ... each vineyard must therefore be treated differently. The true ability of great winemakers, the one that has always made the difference, is to understand and treat each individual vineyard in its own way, supporting and addressing it, each in a different way, just as you would do with a person.

baldissero_vignaThe vineyard in the photo is that of Santo Stefanetto. The historic family vineyard. South / East exposure. Vines planted: Nebbiolo in the upper part, Barbera Dolcetto and Syrah in the lower part. With the rising temperatures in recent years, the south / east exposure allows to fully enjoy the sun with the milder temperature of the morning sun. The clusters do not suffer from the scorching sun of the south and west exposures. This has therefore become the perfect exposure for the ripening of the grapes and the development of balanced wines with ample aromas. The company uses only and exclusively its own grapes harvested by hand and respecting tradition.baldissero_foto
